UV C.I.P.P Lining
What is UV CIPP?
Cured In Place Pipe (UV CIPP) relining accounts for tens of thousands of kilometres of sewer rehabilitation worldwide. As a trenchless technique
it avoids traffic problems, excavation and resurfacing work.

Liner Gmbh & CO. bring you UV CIPP.UV CIPP has all of the advantages of
conventional CIPP lining systems but adds these additional major benefits:
• UV curing eliminates harmful, carcinogenic styrene emissions
• Up to 40% reduction in installation times reduces noisy working
• Seamless construction increases strength and wear life

A Turnkey solution from McAllister Bros.

McAllister Brothers Ltd a UK and Ireland licensee for Brandenburger. Our Lining Technicians have been extensively trained by Brandenburger to install the UV CIPP lining system under a wide range of conditions to ensure optimum results every time.
McAllister Brothers Ltd provides a full turnkey installation package for utilities
companies and utilitiescontractors alike.
This includes:
• Initial assessment
• Sewer cleaning
• CCTV inspections and budgets
• Pipe preparation (removal of intrusions)
• Preliminary works
• Re-line pipe
• Re-open laterals

Where should you use UV CIPP?
UV CIPP is designed to be used in any sewer rehabilitation project where conventional CIPP liners might be considered.
UV CIPP can be used in all types of conventional and industrial sewers and
because of its fast and pollution free installation process, it should be considered
as the first choice for:
• Urban sewers
• Sewers in residential areas
• Sewers in high traffic areas
• Overnight installations
• Sewers in industrial and chemical
installations
• Areas where environmental considerations
The Technology
Brandenburger has a 60 year track record in materials technology. CIPP seamless glass fibre tubes, impregnated with light curing resin, are available in a range of thicknesses from 10mm to 20mm.
The unique patented liners are extremely strong offering long time tensile bend stress of 95 N/mm2 and long time modulus of elasticity of approx 5625N/mm2.
At a given liner wall thickness, UV CIPP has a 100% higher carrying capacity than regular needled felt laminated liners. The mechanical abrasive resistance has been proven in tipping trough tests with 300,000 stress reversals at the University.

Case Study - Bedford Street
The latest Liners to be installed as part of the Belfast Sewer Rehabilitation Project
are directly under the city centre itself in Bedford Street. To refurbish the brick built
sewer under Bedford Street, McAllister Brothers Ltd have installed a 1100mm oval shaped UV CIPP Liner in sections of 56.0m lengths, to tightly fit against the walls and take the form of the existing Sewer Pipe. This is the first time in UK & Ireland that a UV CIPP Light cured Liner with these dimensions has been installed. Another first in this field of work was bringing the Technology from Brandenburger and Saertex, two leading manufactures of CIPP Liners, together. McAllister Brothers Ltd. have worked with these two companies sharing know-how and techniques to achieve results that push the boundaries of existing technology to new dimensions.

Advantages
UV CIPP Liners Systematically achieve better test results than needle felt Liners.
There are also additional major benefits:
• Environmental Friendly curing through the use of UV Light
• UV curing eliminates harmful, carcinogenic styrene emissions (Foundby the installation of needle felt Liners)
• Up to 40% reduction in installation times reduces noisy working
• Seamless construction increases strength, wear life and smoother flows
• A reliable, tight fitting Structural 100% Leak proof Liner
• Liner Wall thickness from 3.5mm to 20mm
• Liners can be installed in one piece lengths up to 250m long.
• Liners for Pipe Diameters from 150mm up to 1200mm
• UV CIPP is a Liner that will stand up to several decades of pipeline service
and chemical affluent waste
• When Installed in time, UV CIPP Liners can avoid the occurrence of Sink Holes in roads (Thus avoiding costly road repairs
or accidents)
• No cold Spots in curing (as found by installation of needle felt Liners)
• No environmental questionable use of water or steam for curing Liners
• No need for extra recycling units to recycle contaminated curing water

Track Record
UV CIPP has been widely used in Germany since the early 1990’s. In 2000 alone over 140km of sewers were relined using Brandenburger’s relining system.
Since then, the technology has been adopted by Brandenburger’s partners
in Denmark, France, Spain, Switzerland, Japan and the USA; where it is becoming the preferred choice for sewer relining.
UV CIPP’s proven track record gives you the reassurance that the technology is robust, reliable and proven. Case histories about UV CIPP installations worldwide are available here.
